Naha Port Wheel was the home to three different schools from 1957 to 1968. Kubasaki American High School occupied 2 Barracks Buildings from 1957 to 1964. Kubasaki American Junior High Occupied the adjacent Barracks Building from 1957 to 1964. Port Wheel Junior High occupied a set of quonset huts from 1964 to at least 1968. To date, we have found no evidence that Port Wheel Junior High existed after the 1967-1968 schoolyear.

Naha Port Wheel 9 Fall 1971 ** to Spring 1975 **
After the 7th and 8th Graders moved to Naha Middle School, all that was left were the 9th grade students. Nothing official has been found, but, there are several students that have corroborated the memory. We do not have any pictures of the 9th Grade Only School. Same facility as Port Wheel Junior High, Quonset Huts. Not sure how long this school might have existed.
